The Somali Scholarship Organization (SSO), founded in 2015, is a non-profit committed to helping Somali students access higher education. We secure scholarships, build academic partnerships, and guide students through the mentorship, application process, career counseling, and training, we equip students with the tools to succeed and become future leaders.
Our vision is to create a future where Somali students have equal access to world-class education, contributing to Somalia’s social and economic development. Through academic excellence and global collaboration, we aim to build a prosperous society led by well-educated professionals.
These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance. Selection is based on GPA, academic awards, leadership roles, and participation in intellectually enriching activities. They are designed to recognize and reward excellence in education.
Aimed at students who face financial challenges, these scholarships prioritize applicants from low-income households. Eligibility is determined through careful review of financial documents, such as income statements and proof of household income. These scholarships help ensure that financial limitations do not hinder academic potential.
